Charlottesville, VA (June 4, 2017) – Potomac Soccer Association’s 2004 Boys have captured the coveted Maryland State Youth Soccer Association’s 13 Boys State Championship in a 1-0 overtime victory thriller!
“We are extremely proud of the over 10 CCL Maryland-based teams that advanced to the semifinals and beyond. This Potomac team is a very special group of boys and are to be applauded for their commitment to each other in pursuit of this Championship. They will be a very difficult draw in the Region I Championships,” said Brian Kuk, CCL Executive Director.
“Potomac Soccer Association is ecstatic to see our 2004 Boys win the MSYSA State Championship. Maryland is one of the most difficult states to compete for a title. This one is sweet and we look forward to a fantastic run at the Region I Championships,” commented Rob Ryerson, Potomac Technical Director.
The US Youth Region I Championships will take place in Spotsylvania, Virginia, at the home park of CCL club Fredericksburg FC and Virginia Youth Soccer Association’s VSTC.
